Among New York City female test takers, the need for high school equivalency preparation programs with a strong (if not exclusive) mathematics focus, is indisputable.  The two reports below show how desperate the situation is for the thousands of women who first repeatedly failed the GED Mathematics subtest and are now repeatedly failing the TASC Mathematics subtest.  If they could just get a little help "doin' the math," they could move on with their lives: seek decent jobs, apply to job training programs, or get into college!
